Celebrity Look 4 Less: Jayma Mays as Emma Pillbury on Glee

A reader recently requested that I feature some looks 4 less of the character Emma on Glee, played by actress Jayma Mays. Emma is known for her colorful and vintage inspired ladylike look, and I tried to recreate it the best I could! I am planning another feature for her again very soon, but this look was featured in the episode "The Rhodes Not Taken". (Photo credit) She's wearing the Nanette Lepore Tea Party cardigan for those who were wondering, but I don't think it's available online anymore.


Although the entire outfit isn't visible, I was able to find a similar green sweater (although this one has slightly different detailing) for those on a budget. This sweater is currently on sale for $11.98 and you can click on the photo below if you're interested in purchasing (it's almost sold out, so I included two other options in the widget at the bottom of the post).


Also, the character Emma frequently wears her cardigans with vintage sweater guards (as seen in the photo above), and I found this similar version that retails for $10 (click here to purchase). Only one is available, but there are several pages of other options on Etsy, you just have to search a little.


Don't forget to get the other options that will help you get an Emma inspired look on a budget...a white blouse, black pencil skirt, and some Mary Janes (which she wears pretty frequently, although her shoes aren't shown in the photo). Christin Louboutin's Crepe-de-chien slingbacks retail for $945 and after seeing them on the gorgeous Rachel McAdams, a reader emailed me wondering if I could find a similar shoe for less.

Alexander McQueen Heart Peep Toe Pump
