Newlywed Anna Paquin (True Blood) wore a classic red dress to the Entertainment Weekly and Women in Film Pre-Emmy party on Friday night. (Photo credit)

One shoulder dresses were a huge trend on the red carpet, and as Anna shows us, it extends to cocktail attire as well. If you want to get a similar look, check out the options below.

First you'll need a red dress, like this sexy version from Express, which retails for $79.50. If you want something a little sweeter, check out THIS dress from MM Couture for $84.

Anna kept it simple with some hidden platform pumps like these shoes from Miss Me, which retail for $49.95. (Or you could try THIS option from Steve Madden for $89.95.)

Burberry Tiered Hem Trench Coat *Updated - 8/30/10*

See bottom of post for update.

Actress Cobie Smulders wore this tiered Burberry trench coat on two different episodes of How I Met Your Mother this season (Duel Citizenship and Last Cigarette Ever). (Photo credit) This trench seems to be sold out online but retailed for $1770 according to Polyvore.

If you want a similar trench for a lot less cash (although not super budget friendly, it will save you about $1582!!), check out this very similar version from Anthropologie. It retails for $188 and you can click on the photo below if you're interested in purchasing. (I did also find a similar version in black by Mac and Jac for $99, if you're interested please click here.)

Best Dressed: Emmy Awards

Last night I spent quite a bit of time on the couch, watching the red carpet arrivals on E! My pick for best dressed is hands down Lea Michele from Glee. The color, the ruffles, the jewelry...I die. (Photo credit)

Who was your pick for best dressed?

Alice + Olivia Ruffle Sleeve Dress

I loved this Alice + Olivia ruffle sleeve dress when it was available a couple of years ago. It's not available online any longer, so exact retail price is unknown but I'm guessing around $300-$400.

Although it has a few differences, this Pins and Needles dress from Urban Outfitters is a great option if you're still in love with the Alice + Olivia original. It retails for $78 and also comes in black with white trim. Click on the photo below if you're interested in purchasing or would like to see the alternate color combo.

Style Me Saturday: Charlotte Russe Lace Top

After I posted the Charlotte Russe lace top last week in my Friday Faves, a couple of people asked if I could show them some ways to style it. So, here are a few ways I plan on wearing this top (click on any photo for more information!)...

*Note: You will need a cami to go under this top, as it doesn't come with one. I have an ivory one from Forever 21 that I plan on using, you can click here to purchase for $3.90.

This first look will probably be my "go to" look for this top. I like the idea of pairing a really feminine piece with some tomboyish items like a military jacket and jeans.

This second look is also pretty casual, pairing the shirt with some boyfriend shorts and nude wedge sandals, but I added a chain necklace from American Eagle to glam it up a bit. You could also pair this look with jeans, like the ones in the set above.

This outfit is more for date night or a night out with the girls, pairing the lace top with a faux leather jacket and heels.

And finally, another look with shorts and wedges, this one a little dressier than the denim shorts look above.

How would you wear this shirt?
